DESCRIPTION:This will be our 2025 Charity Evening when members are invited to bring family and friends for a piece of homemade cake with a cuppa as we try to raise funds towards the refurbishment of the PICC insertion room at Bedford Primrose Unit.   There will also be cakes\, jigsaws\, and books for sale.  Also guess the weight of the cake\, sweets in a jar and pennies in a jar plus of course another jigsaw tombola. \nDonations of cakes for sale and/or for attendees to have with their first cup of tea/coffee would be appreciated. \nPlease do not arrive until after 8pm unless you are coming to help set up the tables for the evening.  Also able-bodied members are requested to park opposite in Hawsey Road to leave parking bays for visitors.

DESCRIPTION:Brenda has arranged a visit for 11.15am on Thursday\, 15th May  to this very interesting Museum which tells the fascinating story of the Panacea Society which was a remarkable religious community formed in the early 20th century. It is located at 11 Newnham Road\, Bedford\, MK40 3NX.  Members can bring a guest and there is a charge of £2 per person although you will be able to donate more at the museum if you wish to do so. \nThe tour lasts about an hour after which members can purchase hot and cold drinks\, assorted savoury and sweet snacks plus toasted tea cakes.  15 is the maximum group size but if there is sufficient interest a later tour can be arranged to take place at 12.15 on the same day. \nTo secure your place\, please contact Brenda – brendahart628@gmail.com – or put your name on the list at the April meeting.

DESCRIPTION:We are going earlier in the year than normal to take advantage of Suzanne Charles’ spring and summer collection.  We will be meeting from 10.30 onwards at their factory outlet\, High Barns Farm\, MK44 3ET where we can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee  before looking at their vast selection of clothing and accessories.  The staff are always very friendly and helpful and there are several changing rooms where members can try on their chosen items before purchasing.  They offer a free bra fitting service and also undertake alterations to items purchased there. \nMembers can then go from there to the nearby Roxton Garden Centre where we will be having lunch from around 1pm.  If you wish to either or both of these\, please put your name down at the March meeting or email brendahart628@gmail.com to book your place.

SUMMARY:12 June meeting
DESCRIPTION:  \nAnother fun evening playing Crazy Bag Whist. Members need to bring 3 unwrapped items in a bag\, 1 each to the value of £1\, £1.50 and £2. We will then play an easy game of whist during which members will be exchanging these items depending on whether they win (choose from someone’s bag) or lose (given from someone’s bag) but everyone will go home with 3 items in their bag.
