A 3-day event was held at the Unipath Offices for their staff and Bosom Pals.  A number of stalls were selling crafts etc, a raffle and very successful cake stall was also held and the event culminated in a balloon release. 

Unipath is part of the Inverness Medical Innovations Group so this was a global initiative to raise awarness of breast cancer during October.  Inverness Medical agreed to matched £ for £  the amount raised.  Unipath, is one of the world’s leading women’s health diagnostic companies and has been based in Bedford since it formation in 1984. 

We were absolutely delighted and amazed when, at our December meeting, Emma Tomlinson from Unipath presented our President June Griffin with a cheque for £3719.80 and a cheque for £50 making a total of £3769.80.  It was beyond our wildest dreams.  The money will ensure that Bosom Pals is financially sound for a good few years to come.  We look forward to working in Partnership with Unipath during 2008 and are now busy planning our next few events.
