Bosom Pals Bedford
Some words from our President
Bosom Pals (Bedford) was formed in 1994, by two friends who had recognised a gap in the treatment of Breast Cancer Care.
My own experience in 1992, found me with nowhere to turn for help and support, a protective instinct does not allow you to talk openly with family, the are too close.
Bosom Pals enables you to chat informally with people who have been there and truly understand the depth of your mixed emotions and fears, it can be a huge relief and assurance.
I attended the first Bosom Pals meeting and served on the Committee for several years as Treasurer.
I felt proud to be part of such a successful Group and I was very honoured when asked to become their President.
Since that innaugeral meeting the Group has consolidated and evolved into a friendly life line, each member becomes a new flower in our daisy chain of support.
BOSOM PALS (Bedford) Breast Cancer Support Group
Bosom Pals is a self-help and support group for anyone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. We meet monthly in a relaxed, informal and friendly atmosphere and provide emotional support, practical advice and information. This is achieved with the professional help and support of the Primrose Centre’s Breast Care Nurses. Meetings usually include guest speakers and demonstrations on interesting topics.

You are advised to consult your normal health care professional before changing any current treatment regimes.
