News on the Highways Agency and Pavenham Park Seniors Golf Section.

I am delighted to report that the Highways Agency have raised another generous amount for us from a bring and buy sale and a plant sale.  They will be sending us a cheque for £157 shortly.  This will bring their total donation to us to £292.  They nominated us as their charity of the year and our year will be up in September.  

Pavenham Park Seniors Golf Section has raised £290.12p so far.
We have decided to donate this money to the Breast Care Service and with Elizabeth’s help we are replacing the breast equipment used by the breast care nurses for raising breast awareness among women groups.  We all know how important it is to recognise breast cancer symptoms early.  The equipment currently being used by the breast care nurses is old and the modern versions are so much more realistic.  So we are delighted that we have been able to provide this through the generosity of Pavenham Park Senior’s Section.

Thanks also go to Adriana and June who have given up their time to come along on golf competition days to organise and sell raffle tickets. I, on behalf of all our members, would personally like to thank the Highways Agency and Pavenham Park Seniors Section for nominating us as their chosen charity of the year.
