Whenever we have a social event or our Annual General Meeting Jean thanks many people for their contribution to the running of the Group etc.  No one ever thanks Jean.  She does a lot behind the scenes to keep the Group running as smoothly as it does.  So, on behalf of everyone in the Group a ‘BIG THANK YOU JEAN’ for everything that you do for Bosom Pals.  We really do appreciate it.

I was 32 years old when diagnosed with breast cancer in 1985 and although I had a very supportive husband, I found there was no where to go to get help and advice on the "unknown", no support where to get bras, swimwear, support to answer worrying questions.

Mike’s Line Dancing organised a charity line dance on our behalf.  It was great evening and a total of £413 was raised.  Thanks go to Adriana and Mike’s team for all their hard work in arranging this event and to all those who attended and supported us.

When you join an Association, Society or Guild, or in our case Group, Just pause for a while as your form’s being filled, And think what becoming a member entails – Don’t turn out to be one more member who fails.

We are delighted to announce the launch of our Partner Support Group. 

The launch took place on Saturday 5 July at the Clapham Summer Fete.  One of our members, Patrizia’s husband, Stephen Franks has been really keen to set up a support group for partners/husbands.

Bosom Pals had a stall at the Clapham fete with the aim of promoting and raising awareness of the Group, and in particular the new Partner Support Group. 

We first visited “Treize” a couple of years ago and enjoyed it so much we are going again on Friday 25 July. 

Beccy from Unipath has kindly organised a Charity Dinner at Orlando’s Italian restaurant in Commercial Road, Bedford on Monday 1 September.

It is with great sadness that we announce the deaths of three of our members, Janet Clarke, Margaret Close and Pamela Rolls.  Also, Salvatore DeFilippo husband of Janice one of our members.

Helping to improve the quality of life for women living with cancer

Look Good, Feel Better is a free service offering advice on skincare and makeup to women undergoing treatment for cancer. 

The Group has a large variety of books, tapes and pamphlets for loan to members.  These cover subjects such Breast Health, Diet as it affects cancer, and many other linked subjects.
