SECOND BREAST CARE NURSE ARRIVES

We were delighted to welcome the new breast care nurse, Patricia Millward to our August meeting.

Patricia is married and has a 5 year old daughter, Peta, and has worked within the NHS for 10 years as a nurse and has spent most of this time at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood, Middlesex.

UNIPATH “PINK FAYRE” – 24-26 OCTOBER

A 3-day event was held at the Unipath Offices for their staff and Bosom Pals.  A number of stalls were selling crafts etc, a raffle and very successful cake stall was also held and the event culminated in a balloon release.

FUNDRAISING – LINE DANCING DISCO – FRIDAY 7 MARCH

A couple of our members go to Mikes Line Dancing in Clapham Village Hall.  Mike has kindly agreed to hold a Line Dancing Disco for us.  Tickets are £5 each and all money raised from tickets sales Mike will donate to Bosom Pals.

GROUP MASCOT
Elizabeth Wiggins, our breast care nurse donated a teddy bear to the group for our cake/craft fair.  It didn’t sell on the day and we fell in love with it so decided to keep it as our mascot.

CHRISTMAS SOCIAL MEETING

Once again the Christmas Social was entertaining.  A guitarist strummed along and renditions of “12 days of Christmas” could be heard coming from the Primrose Unit.

HALLOWEEN FAMILY DISCO

The Halloween Family Disco enjoyed by all those who attended, the children especially had a great time.  It was a very spooky evening with lots of witches and  creepy crawlies.   Most people turned up in fancy dress and it was a really good fun evening.
