Bosom Pals Meetings

Bosom Pals Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 7.30pm to around 9.45pm in the hall of the Church of the Transfiguration, Bedford Road, Kempston, Bedford, MK42 8BQ. This is located opposite Addison Park, between Cleveland Street and Margetts Road. There is plenty of parking both on the driveway down to the church and in the overspill car park adjacent to the hall.

We provide tea or coffee and biscuits at the beginning of the meeting, followed by a talk or demonstration of about 3/4 hour on a large variety of subjects. We usually have an “open” meeting in January, where members come along and just talk to each other about anything and everything. Your first meeting is free,  after that we charge an entry fee of £2 per meeting which helps to cover our costs.

Prospective new members are always most welcome to attend one of our meetings to see if they would like to join us.

Samantha Condor, a local Macmillan Welfare Rights Advisor has asked if she can come to this meeting to give a general talk about her role and how she helps people sort out their entitlements to welfare while dealing with cancer treatment.  We are hoping that she will give us useful information which we can then share with friends, family and work colleagues even if we ourselves are not in need of any assistance.

There will be home made cake to have with your cup of tea or coffee.

Julie Marsden Smith recommended this talk by Terry Dawes who will be bringing one of his "medical detection" dogs to demonstrate the amazing work done by these animals.
